What Forj does
Forj is a web studio based in Metn, Mount Lebanon, Lebanon. It was founded in 2024 and is run by two people: engineering students at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Lebanese American University (LAU).
Forj builds websites for Lebanese businesses. Its most common clients are architecture and engineering studios, but it also works with clinics, boutiques, contractors and small local brands. Every site is written by hand — no page builders, no WordPress themes — and is published in both Arabic and English.
Alongside websites, Forj sells four services: AI chatbots, online booking systems, AI voice receptionists, and work to make a site readable by AI assistants. Each is priced monthly and is most often taken alongside a website Forj builds.
Services
- Website design and build
- A complete website built around the client's own projects and photographs. Mobile-first, with full Arabic and English versions. Typical delivery is three weeks from the first call. Includes domain registration, hosting, analytics and handover.
- Bilingual Arabic and English sites
- The Arabic version is a separate, fully written page with a right-to-left layout and an Arabic typeface, not a machine translation of the English one.
- AI chatbots
- A chat widget trained on the client's actual services and prices. It answers visitors on the website and messages sent to the business outside working hours, in Arabic or English, and hands real enquiries to the owner.
- AI readability
- Making the site legible to AI assistants rather than promising rankings in them. In practice this is three things: opening the site to AI crawlers, adding structured data so the business's facts are machine-readable, and writing plain reference pages that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI answers can read and quote. Forj sells this as a monthly service, most often alongside a site it has built.
- Online booking systems
- Calendar booking on the client's own website, with automatic confirmation and reminder messages, so appointments stop being arranged by phone call.
- AI voice receptionists
- A phone agent that answers incoming calls in Arabic or English, answers routine questions, books appointments, and sends the business owner a written summary of each call.
Prices
A website starts at 400 US dollars, plus 75 US dollars per month. The 400 is a starting price for a straightforward site; larger sites with more pages, more projects or extra languages cost more, and Forj quotes the exact figure on the first call. The monthly fee is fixed at 75 US dollars and covers hosting, the domain, updates, fixes and unlimited small edits. There is one plan; Forj does not sell a one-time build without the monthly plan.
Add-ons are priced monthly: AI chatbot from 60 US dollars, AI readability from 90 US dollars, booking system from 45 US dollars, AI voice receptionist from 140 US dollars. There is no setup fee on add-ons taken together with a website.
How Forj works
- 1. Call
- A twenty-minute conversation on WhatsApp about what the business does, who it wants to reach, and what material it already has.
- 2. Collect
- Forj gathers the client's projects, photographs and text, and writes whatever copy is missing. Forj does not shoot photography — clients supply their own images.
- 3. Build
- In the second week the client receives a private link to the site in progress and gives notes. Revisions continue until the client signs off.
- 4. Launch
- Domain, hosting, analytics and handover. After launch, small edits remain included for clients on the monthly plan.
Where Forj works
Forj is based in Metn, in the Mount Lebanon governorate, and works with businesses across Lebanon, including Beirut, Jounieh, Zahlé and the Metn area. Work is carried out remotely and over WhatsApp, with meetings in person when a project needs them.
Both founders speak Arabic and English and work in both languages.
Current and recent work
Forj is currently building the website for DETAIL Architects + Engineers, an architecture practice in Beirut. Its most recent completed site is aquaholicleb.com for Aquaholic Leb, a watersports retailer with a showroom in Bqennaya, Metn — a 105-product catalogue with search, a cart and WhatsApp checkout.
All design and code is produced by the two founders directly. Forj does not subcontract and does not employ staff beyond its two founders.
